Some Panther G tanks featured a mantlet 'chin' to fix the shot trap issue of the Panther A/D. This vertical face prevented shots being ricoheted down into the thin deck armour...unless struck directly on the corner.

This simulation is based on requests from the Panther A/D video and presents a worse case scenario for the Panther G: where the incoming round hits the very corner of the chin. An impact any higher up would not penetrate the mantlet or ricochet down. This mantlet DID effectively solve the shot trap issue, as this is an extremely unlikely shot.
