The Supreme Court has ordered the demolition of the Nusla Tower in Karachi in a week.
The Nasla Tower case was heard in the Supreme Court Karachi Registry on Monday. The Supreme Court questioned why the building had not been demolished so far and whether it would be demolished with a hammer and chisel. The Supreme Court ordered that modern technology be used to demolish the Nusla Tower building.
On this occasion, when the residents of Nasla Tower tried to say something in the court, the court stopped the residents of Nasla Tower from speaking. The court also ordered to disconnect the electricity and water connections of the building by October 27. The court further ordered the commissioner Karachi to demolish the building and submit a report within a week.
