In today’s vlog, I'm sharing some life updates 2021 style. I’m taking you through a week in my life (+ pregnancy updates) and sharing a lot of the early nesting and overall baby prep that we’ve been doing in preparation for this baby! First of all, we leased a car! Because traveling with a baby requires a car seat and a lot of other essentials, we decided this would offer our little family the most flexibility in the future when it comes to trips, travel and general transportation.
As for baby stuff, our registry is in full swing and we are already starting to gather tons and tons of items. The nursery organization is coming along and I give you a brief nursery tour in this video. To start, we got the UPPAbaby Vista V2 stroller with a few accessories and also the Doona stroller/car seat combo that is a lightweight option for traveling. In addition, we have a high chair, a crib, some stuffed animals and LOTS of supplies! Frida gifted me a ton of their breastfeeding essentials as well as loads of baby grooming supplies, and Hello Bello sent lots of creams, lotions, diapers and more. The baby’s closet is also already starting to fill up with clothing, swaddles, socks, towels and blankets!
Our crib is from Nestig and it’s their mini-crib. This will convert into a full-sized crib and then a toddler bed down the line, so it’s kind of like a 3-in-1.
My mom made some amazing collage artwork for the walls that we LOVE. I’d say that, overall, we are going for a copper tone with some neutrals, light greens, and faded blues. I wanted it to look a bit like a gender-neutral nursery, but I didn't want to use NO color. We love color! There’s no ‘theme,’ but we are working with a lot of geometric colors and patterns.
